The steps you can see leading down in the photograph below lead to the metro station although Algiers is still awaiting completion of that project.
'Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveller... If you survive till the evening, do not expect to be alive in the morning, and if you survive till the morning, do not expect to be alive in the evening, and take from your health for your sickness, and (take) from your life for your death."

Mashallah, you really are making me homesick!!!
Yeah, the tube...I can't wait. I see myself getting everywhere without depending so much on others for translation. More straightforward inshallah. Take care, Ines.
haven't they been trying to build that since the 80's???
I loved the area around le grand poste. the shopping was lovely. I might be planning a little trip to algeria again in march or april if I can convince my husband inshaAllah.

Homesick Ines?! LOL
UmmA: Yes the project has been going for a while but I believe they are working on it again so maybe it will get finished soon... much like the airport that came to a standstill for a long time but is now finished and operational.
Rainbow: When will you be back? Before, during or after Ramadan?
